M.L.S. Stopping Play During the 2010 World Cup

The United States has recently decided that it will be suspending play during the opening stage of the 2010 Fifa World Cup.

The goal of the MLS is to strengthen its standing with the world soccer community and gain some respect. It is unclear whether the MLS will gain popularity due to this decision, but it is obvious that everyone is anticipating this world cup. South Africa will certainly prove to be an interesting venue.
