Wenger Looking For An Away Goal

Arsenal visit Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven this evening in the Champions League Quarter Final First Leg, and manager Arsene Wenger believes his team must register an away goal.

Arsenal have played PSV before and have never lost to a Dutch team. On their last visit to the Phillips Stadium in 2002, Arsenal inflicted a crushing 4 - 0 defeat on the home side. Another win like that and Wenger might even raise a smile. Okay, maybe a slight grin then!

Wenger is warning his side that they cannot play at the same pace against PSV as they did in the 0 - 0 draw in the FA Cup on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers.

However Arsenal skipper Thierry Henry believes the Gunners squad is starting to peak. Not only that, it has an ideal blend of youth and experience to allow it to succeed in all four competitions they are still involved in.

Henry said: “I do think this team is reaching the peak of having the right balance between experience and the fearless factor that you need when you are young.

“We need to make sure we can deliver a good game there and who knows what can happen at home.”
