Any tips for perfecting my soccer skills?
Posted by The Soccer Blogger as Soccer Training & Skills
I'm an overall good soccer player, and I'm good at most positions, but after my game today, I have decided to perfect my defense skills. I have strong legs so I have an awesome kick, but I'm thinking that there is more to having a strong kick to being defense. So does anybody have any suggestions or drills I can do?
I'm going to give you a brazilian tip……
I know you want to develop your defensive skills, but as a good brazilian player, I have to talk about attack.
Never let your competitor foresee your movements. You have to be creative. You must be fast and objective. That's what Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo do.
My opinion about defense is: first of all, Fair Play. You also have to foresee what is gonna be the next movement of the player.
Another good tip: close the spaces. Don't let the player think. He must say to himself: What can I do?, I donnot have options!
Good luck.

Great question but unfortunately I used to coach girls fastpitch softball. My best friends kids are great soccer players so I'll ask them and get back to you.
