Guide to Buying Soccer Cleats
Posted by curtis as Soccer Training & Skills
Buying good soccer shoes can be a challenge for even the best players. It is important to consider the conditions you will be playing under and pick a pair of shoes that are appropriate.
You basically have three options when purchasing soccer footwear: Soccer cleats have a dozen or more spikes on the bottom and are used by the majority of outdoor soccer players. They provide better traction, but on certain indoor surfaces can provide too much traction. There are many soccer cleats available on the market and it can be difficult to decide which are best for you.
Nike and Adidas both have excellent products to select from, although they can become quite expensive. There are also turf shoes, which are used to play on fake surfaces or very hard grass. Turf shoes provide less traction, and are generally more comfortable. The Adidas samba is an excellent turf shoe that is used by many people. Soft ground soccer cleats are meant for particularly muddy conditions, where it is difficult to develop traction. If you are looking for more help in buying soccer cleats, go to your local soccer shop and ask for advice. There will be plenty of options that will fit your budget.
