How can i seriously improve my soccer skills? Here is my story. I have played soccer since I was a little kid
Posted by The Soccer Blogger as Soccer Training & Skills
I wasn't very good until the fifth grade when I got exceptionally fast. I played and excelled at recreational soccer which was only twice a week but never tried out for the challenge, teams a decision I regret. So I never really developed soccer skills. I could dribble and sprint around most of the people who I played rec soccer with but I never really learned how to play soccer properly as a team. In the 9th grade I played JV soccer with my school. It was the first year I had played on a serious team and most of the other players had all played on the challenge or express teams that i never did. I definitely got better that year but I didn't see a massive amount of improvement. Now I am a sophmore on JV, the last year before i either make varsity or get cut. I can't juggle the ball at all and my trapping and passing are never accurate enough. I am very athletic and fast but i still don't have good skills. I don't have anyone to practice with as well. Any suggestions/help?
Live with the soccer ball - Practice everyday.
If you can spend 1 hour EVERY DAY try this:
15 minutes juggling
15 minutes passing and collecting against a wall
30 minutes dribbling - practice turns/tricks/moving fast/ set up cones and obstacles to go around.
(try doing these on hard surface like a tennis court to add difficulty)
You are old enough to do this on your own, it will take a commitment of time and effort if you really want it.
Search out opportunities to play anywhere anytime, work with little kids, play with adults, pick-up games etc…
Last but not least when walking around the house keep a ball with you at all times, dribble up and down stairs, dribble to the bathroom, dribble while watching tv. Do this barefoot to develop better touch.
All these things will give you better ball control and develop confidence.

You need a personal soccer coach.
Many communities have ones that will help you for free you just have to look. If you find the right one they will have you playing like a champ.
My son played Varsity Soccer for 4 years as a goal tender.
He almost did not make the cut since they played favorites and this does happen if the coach allows it. He was putting together a team and choosing mostly hispanics. He saw the good ones on the team and wanted more so that his team would have an advantage. My son was a star and played since he was 6 yrs old and was very good. They moved him from a Forward to the goalie and so he had to learn that position too. Many of his friends played and he got assistance from them.
But we almost went looking for a personal soccer coach for help. They are out there and some charge and others will help for free. Just make sure they have a good background and much experience.

to gain lots of pass control, pass to a wall if it goes right back to your foot that u kicked it with you'll be pretty good. to get control of the ball roll it with the bottom of your foot forward backward and side to side, u could also box with the ball that is where u hit the ball side to side with the inside of your feet.to trap simply throw the ball in the air and trap, or pass to a wall and stop and trap.
