How to further develop my soccer skills?
Posted by The Soccer Blogger as Soccer Training & Skills
I really want to join a european soccer (football), youth team, i currently live in the states,
anyone know of any recommendations, a club in the netherlands would be most preferable
That is really cool that you want to do that, and there many factors to take into considartion, like Age, Language, skill level, and the level of soccer you are playing now, but the most important thing is physical condition. So the first thing I recomend you to do, is get in the best shape of your life do a lot of short sprints mixed with strength training then top it off with 2-3 mile runs it works trust me. On the field practice your passing, passing and passing, top socccer clubs don't care if you can dribble 2 or 3 player, they like a player that can give the perfect assist or open the field. also remember that before you get the ball you should already know who you are ganna pass it to, or where you ganna go with it. and finnally if you are CRAZY enough travel to the Netherlands and go to their open youth tryouts, a couple of my good friends are Pros, Eliseo Quintanilla and Ronald Cerritos maybe you know them, they played MLS and are El Salvador internationals. One of my old highschool team mates went to brazil and plays for Cruzeiro. So its up to you how bad you want it……

Start by studying things described on this website: http://www.soccer-training-guide.com
There are many clubs in Europe that you can test for during a week or so. However, you will need to cover all costs (flying over there, living, eating etc) from your own pocket.
