PFA Player Of The Year

Posted by The Soccer Blogger as Soccer Training & Skills

Nominations have been made for this season’s PFA Player Of The Year Award.

Not surprisingly both Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo head the award nominations so far.

Other players also in contention are Man United’s Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes together with Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard and Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas.

As well as being in contention for the main award Ronaldo, Rooney, and Fabregas are also nominated for The Young Player Of The Year award. Also in line are Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon, Reading’s Kevin Doyle and Manchester City’s Micah Richards.

I don’t think you can really look past Drogba and Ronaldo to pick up the main award and I personally would have to go with Ronaldo, just. Here’s a question…Can the same player win the main award and the younger player award in the same year? If so, that will be Ronaldo then!
