What are some drills i can do by myself to improve my all around soccer skills?
Posted by The Soccer Blogger as Soccer Training & Skills
All my friends are really good at soccer, and im just ok. i can do basic stuff, like crossovers, but that's about it. i wanna improve my skills but am not sure what i can do. I already know i should juggle, but is there anything else anyone would suggest? also, i wanna learn tricks that i can use in a game. and that one trick where you pop it up under one leg, i don't know exactly how to explain it. any help would be great. thanks.
I always had the team run the length of the soccer field, backwards. Improved their balance and confidence.
Also, if you're a goalie, have someone throw the ball at you from different angles and velocities while you are "defending" on your knees. Promotes extension and flexibility.
Practice dribbling the ball at your fastest pace while controlling it under foot, without looking down.
Other than that, runn, run, run.
