What are some soccer drills I can do at home?
Posted by The Soccer Blogger as Soccer Training & Skills
Im preparing for next season, and havent done soccer for awhile.
If you have a wall then practice your kicking accuracy and you can also work on your trapping. Juggle alot…start with your thighs. If you have a yard..set up cones (or anything else like tshirts) and space them out in a straight line, then dribble in and out of them to work on your dribbling and ball control. You can change the distance of the cones to make it easier or harder. good luck

Just kick the ball. Make that ball an extension of your body. Feel comfotable with the ball. Learning how to read a game will come with game experience. Enjoy the greatest game on earth and good luck.

well practice kicking over some kind of wll that is at least 4 feet high a fence would work nice too but ya that always worked for me and I got really good at kicking the ball too
also do some sort of dribbling drill around cones or somthing if you have some and if you dont just find some things around the house that you could dribble around and that wont break if you accidentaly messed up and kicked it in the wrong dirrection

JUGGLING!!..lol you should do this ALOT. In a month you could get up to 5000+ which is what you should aim for. It improves touch, your ability to control and cushion the ball with different parts of your body, increases your confidence, helps you have better control of the power of your passes and shots, increases intuition with the ball and so on. Do it with the left foot only, then right foot only, then knees only, then head only, then both feet, then use your whole body.
Also you could buy some cones and places them about 40 cm apart and zig zag through them to gain better control over dribbling. You can take your dad/mum/friend to the park and practice all the different types of passes/volleys/shots over different distances.
many pro players drew targets on brick walls and aimed to hit them with the various kicking techniques. They also practiced volleying the ball against the wall repeatedly without letting it fall which is also a good drill.

Since u havent been playin soccer fer awhile, i guess u didnt do much on ur fitness as well huh?
i know ur question in on drills at home. but it really depends on how big ur house is and ect. Firstly, no matter what, u have to do some fitness. i really suggest doing long dist. running but since u wnat to do it at home, i suggest running on a treadmill or carrying weights, if you have any. if u dont, climb the stairs, if you live in a few storey house. If not, then i suggest some skipping before doing drills at home. probably around 30 mins or so; do all types of skipping.
then, the next most imporatnt expect of soccer after fitness is ball control followed by ur kicking technique; no matter what position u play, its very important. many ppl suggest juggling but i prefer to pick a spot on a wall and strike the ball with power from distance. why with so much power? in a game, u dont expect a 'perfect' pass from ur teammates. so striking the ball with power makes the ball return in many diff. ways. position urself corretly, and trap the ball. with ur chest, tigh and ur foot (inside, outside sole). i can even trap the ball with my head. if u want to trap using ur chest/head, try aiming for a higher spot on the wall. this drill really help ur ball control and kicking tech.
after trapping the ball directly as it comes to you becomes to easy, try this; imagine an opponent on your right side. so as the ball comes right at u, redirect the ball so it goes to ur left. then strike it back to the wall. this will really help you as u visualise 'real' stuff that will happen in an actual game.
when uve mastered that, try to play one touch strikes with the wall. when the ball gets too low, move forward. if its getting to high, move backwards.
dude, i got a lot more… but thats it fer now
