What soccer drills can i do for good ball control and fast feet?

Posted by The Soccer Blogger as Soccer Training & Skills

Winter is coming up so i practice ball control and getting my feet faster in my garage with only a certain amount of space. I do lots of triangles and i switch them with my right and left. Any other drills i can do? by myself that does not require too much room? k thnx
For example i wanna know drills that i can do repetitively and it would help me. THnx!

well, for dribbling skills best thing to do is take a nice jog up and down the field with a ball, for passing stand 3-5 feet away from a wall pass it soft and get hard as you go. if your parents let you, dribble a soccer ball around the house while you walk through it, or when you are watching tv during thew commercials you can play around with the ball to get use to the feel.

I play select soccer, and I know that it takes practice to be good, so it’s good that you’re practicing. I have an excellent drill for you. All you need is two cones, and a soccer ball. Place the two cones 2-3 feet apart from each other. Then, start the ball to the right side of one of the cones. Push the ball diagonal to the left side of the other cone, and use quick simple touches with the outside of your foot to work your way around the cone. Then, Push the ball diagonal again to the other side of the other cone, and use the inside of your foot to get around it. Just repeat. This should form figure 8’s around the two cones. As you get better, go faster! Best of luck to you and your team!

the best thing for quickness is a speed ladder. Any collagee coach will tell you so. if you don’t have a speed ladder, just make one out of cones. Look up drills to do on the ladder, and you’ll be quicker in no time. it also helpsstrengthh and endurance A LOT!!!!!

one of the most easiest and effective drills is basically to be about 3 feet away from a wall and basically pass the ball to the wall so it rebounds back to your feet and start doing it quicker and quicker….

this drill is to get your ball control stronger and your feet will be faster ..

also good tip, always keep in your toes when doing this drill.

All good tips. Didn’t Nike have some kind of ‘boot camp’ thing where you could sign up pre-season, and they would send you a set of drills to do everyday?
